A strong, solid and gorgeous fireplace mantel, an authentic Doug fir that's perfect for a rock, brick, tile, wood-backed or cultured stone built fireplace. The nice thing is, you get eight hanging choices - you have cracks, beautiful knots, filled mortise pockets(where this beam met with others within the barn), smoother face sides and rougher face sides. Crafted, left Mother-nature-made natural; all ready to hang as-is. Comes from an early 1900’s milking barn that had been located near Glencoe, Minnesota. This is not a box mantel and certainly not a new piece of wood, stained and made to look old. The mantel in the photos is the exact one you will receive and it's ready to ship.
