Beautiful solid Douglas fir mantel was rip-cut from a larger beam, one that had been 13 inches deep. Real nice touch would perhaps be to place it atop a pair of windows that display your touches in the kitchen, living room - or - maybe a daughter or son would like to display their own likes and dreams atop the old wood. Also would be a great compliment to any rock, brick, tile or cultured stone fireplace build. Comes from an 1800's industrial corn crib building that had been located near Cedar Falls, Iowa. Crafted then left natural and unsealed, all ready to mount just as-is. Please click the photos for some close-ups.
